Your Rights
Bike Outlet York is a UK based company and complies with UK consumer law including the Distance Selling Regulations. This means that shopping with The Bike Outlet York is safe. We pride ourselves on good customer service and you can order safe in the knowledge that any unforeseen problems will be sorted out promptly. Our Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Distance Selling Regulations give you the right to cancel an order and return any goods, (see Returns for Refund) up to 7 days from receipt. Our returns policy allows 14 days.
Returns
Our Hassle Free returns policy means if you make a mistake you can easily return your cycle to us. We advise that Returns are unused and that the original packaging is retained to return to us if required. Before returning a item we ask you contact us for a return number and return postal details.
We will allow 7 days for notification of a return (via email, phone or letter) and do not cover the return postage costs if there is no direct error of the Bike Outlet York or the Goods are not Faulty. We also reserve the right to surcharge where a item has had excessive useage or has sustained excessive damage within this 7 day period.
Returns after this and outside the above terms are subject to a 10% re-stocking fee or return postage fee if the error is no direct fault of The Bike Outlet York the only execption to this is Faulty Goods which do not attract this re-stocking charge.
We cannot refund return postage costs after this period but replacements/returns will be sent free of charge as long as they are within our standard terms. VAT
We currently do not offer VAT refunds for any orders outside the UK. Please contact us before ordering if you have any questions. Postage and Delivery
Items are sent either by TNT, Tuffnells, FastWay, Royal Mail. We aim to have your order with you within 3 working days (in many cases next day) however we would advice that you check at the point of ordering for more acurate lead times. Most cycles require some basic assembly upon delivery (The smaller we can pack them the less chance of damage). Next day Delivery is only on items in stock and orders can take up to 7 working days. We will email you with order confirmation once your order has been processed
All items will be charged at £3.95 to £12.95 for delivery to Mainland UK (For Northern Ireland + Scottish Island etc.. please check before delivery on costs and delivery times). Items marked with 'Free Delivery' is only applicable for orders to a UK Mainland Address. Other Addresses out of these terms may incurr a Delivery surcharge - Please check before ordering your items for more details on Overwater Shipping Rates.
For overseas sales enquirys please e-mail your shipping address to ourselves and we will e-mail a quote on shipping costs. Overseas shipping can take upto 21 days
We ask that you visual check the parcel when signing for the delivery and any noticable damage to the box carton please sign as 'damaged delivery' as this makes it easier to clear up with the courier, We also ask that you check all orders within 7 days of reciept as claims for Delivery Damage cannot be accepted after this time has passed.
Payment
The Bike Outlet York accept most major credit cards for online orders. You will be asked to enter your card details when you complete the transaction on PayPal.com our secure Credit Card Transaction Processor. As soon as we recieve your order, your order will be dispatched.
For offline orders The Bike Outlet York accept (£) Sterling Postal Orders, Personal Cheques, (£) Sterling Bank Drafts and (£) Sterling Bank Transfers. We recommend that you do not send cash through the post. Due to varying Exchange Rates all payments made to The Bike Outlet York must be in UK Pounds (£) Sterling.

Our shoppping cart will give you a choice for a different shipping address, Under UK law we can only send items to the registered Card Holder address. We reserve the right to send any items ordered to this address only. For more details on this contact us on 01904-692807. Your card details need to match your address details and any deviants on this will not be accepted.
Privacy Policy
The Bike Outlet York are committed to protecting your privacy. When you make an online order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, credit card billing address, and the delivery address. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you about your order status. We will also require a land line telephone number in case we need to contact you and for international orders this number may be given to our couriers in order to help with the delivery of your goods. If you order an 'Out Of Stock' product, we will send out the order to you as soon as the product becomes available again. If we cannot source the item we will contact you to inform you. If we cannot obtain the product, we will contact you with details of products of the same value or spec, or greater. If you decide to cancel, a full refund will be given.
Assembly
Some basic assembly will be required before you can ride your bike, The cycles come pre-packed down to prevent damage and are pre-assembled with any technical items such as gears, tyres, cranks etc already fitted. Cycle Warranty
All Cycles sold come with a 12 Month Manufacters Warranty Included - Please refer to the manual included with your bicycle for more details on this as well as the Frame Warranty Cover if longer than 12 months.
Accuracy Of Information
We put a lot of time and effort into describing and photographing the products we sell using manufacturer's websites, catalogues, our own photography source and often our own descriptions of the products. Although we aim that every picture and description is accurate, mistakes do occur so let us know if you see or read something that isn't correct. If you have purchased something based on a picture or description on the website which turns out to be incorrect we will be happy to replace or refund the product (unused).
Changes
If we change our Terms and Conditions, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.
